DSG Leads Audiovisual Planning and Design
for Regional Service Center
- Project:
Kaiser Permanente Regional Service Center
Fontana, California
- Client:
TAYLOR Architects
- Construction budget:
$30 million
Kaiser Permanente is the nation's largest healthcare organization. When it decided to improve operating efficiencies by consolidating multiple regional service centers in Southern California, Kaiser recommended DSG to the project's designer, TAYLOR Architects, of Newport Beach, California.
TAYLOR was retained to provide overall design and planning for the 200,000 square-foot service center, which required extensive renovations. These included construction of 26 conference rooms, a main conference center with customizable and combinable room configurations, and a customized real-time room scheduler. The facility also included administrative offices.
DSG's audiovisual planning and design expertise was ideally suited to the unique needs of the project. Working closely with Kaiser and the architect, DSG's team not only designed the audiovisual system for the service center, they also designed an equally sophisticated conference center in an adjacent building.
As a result, the architect accessed comprehensive audiovisual design and planning expertise from a single source. Additionally, Kaiser benefited from DSG's independent assessment of audiovisual equipment vendors and long-term audiovisual strategy.
The project was completed on time and on budget. And the highly functional audiovisual system continues to work smoothly for the daily operation of the service center.
